Blazing Star Herbal School offers programs designed to guide students through their herbal studies covering both the art and science of herbal medicine. Whether you are beginning a career as an herbalist or a life long dabbler in the healing arts we have courses for you. The foundation to the course of study for first-year students is the Week-day Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is jam packed with fieldtrips, medicine making, gardening, community service . . . hands-on education!
For second-year students and beyond, this year we are offering the enhanced therapeutic herbalism program in our Intermediate Week-day Apprenticeship which replaces the weekend apprenticeship. We will meet every other Tuesday afternoon.
Seasons of Herbalism offers a connection with the changing seasons over 4 week-ends of the year. Children 9 and above welcome with parent. 2006 Scheduled dates:
Be sure to take a look at Herbal Medicine for Children & Babies - a 4 evening program in May, Wednesdays May 3, 10, 17, 24, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:30pm
Our grounds encompass 26 wooded acres of pine trees, rushing brooks, wildflower meadows and gardens in Western Massachusetts. Blazing Star Herbal Schools courses have been highly acclaimed for inspiring students to find their unique healing path through personal relationship with the plant world. We believe that to truly know a plant, we must be in relationship with it and then use our knowledge to make medicine. It is in this peaceful environment that we invite you to share and learn.
Herbal School is not open to the public.
